{THE BLACK ORDER}

OVERVIEW

The Black Order is an international military funded by the Vatican that has a presence in almost every country in the world. Its main purpose is locating and collecting Innocence, recruiting Exorcists into their ranks, training said Exorcists with their Innocence, and sending them out to fight against the Akuma and Noah clan.

The Order's presence can be found on every continent and in every country except for the United States due to the country being controlled by the Noah clan. Headquarters is located just outside of London, England and a branch Order building exists on every continent. In Italy, one can find Central; the main main building where the highest ranking officials of the Order and the Vatican reside. Headquarters is where many Exorcists and other members call "home". While some are stationed in branch buildings at times, their most permanent residence is at the "HQ".

Central is a building in Vatican City where the real brains behind the Order work and plan at. Very few Exorcists or other members of the Order ever see Central from the inside.

Each branch building has a "branch chief" or a manager who supervises and controls everything within their branch's territory (the continent they're on). The Main Headquarters chief is known as the "head supervisor" and not only controls the European branch, but also supervises the branch chiefs

The Black Order is divided into two groups. First is the "active services" that consists of Exorcists as they're the only ones capable of combat with the enemy. Second is the much larger "support services". This service is divided into several smaller sections, each individually managed by a "section chief". The sections include Science and Engineering, Intelligence, Medical, Signal, Security, Diplomatic, and Logistics. Every Black Order member in the "support service" group are called members of the clergy or simply clergymen.

FINDERS

Finders are humans who mainly work in the Intelligence and Logistics sections of the Order. Their main job is quite similar to that of the Exorcists. They accompany Exorcists on missions and have the duty of finding the location of Innocence while their Exorcist partners protect it from any Akuma in the area.

Their uniforms are bland ankle length coats with hoods to cover their faces and a scarf to protect them from the toxic gas emitted from destroyed Akuma. All this in a very boring beige color. Their standard equipment consists of a large backpack to hold a black laptop, a cellular phone, first aid kit, maps, extra food, water, and anything that might prove useful during a mission.

Their only defense against Akuma are strange lantern looking devices called Angel Sterns that can temporarily trap an enemy in a prism looking cell. It can also be used as a force field to keep enemies out of an area for a short time.

GOLEMS

Golems are small, electronic devices used by members of the Order for communication, information gathering, and item protecting (mainly shards of Innocence). Since cell phones and laptops are now the main source of communication and whatnot, most see no real point in having a golem around; however, the Vatican still sees them as being quite useful since normal humans have no idea how to work them, while with other electronics, they can be easily hacked into.

In appearance, golems are about the size of a golf ball with large wings and a long tail/cord sprouting out of it. The "tail" can be plugged into any outlet to charge when needed. Golems can last up to five days without a charge. After that... they die. The device can be any color, but most are plain black with a white circle on the face.

Features

• Storage. It might not look like it, but golems can stretch and grow to be the size of an adult human's head and can fit several shards of innocence in its body.
  
  
• Internet. Using the Order's own network (called Golenet), one can log on and get information, using a holographic screen as a monitor. Voice commands must be used to navigate the Network.
  
  
• Built-in telephone and video phone. Using voice to dial a number, one can contact any Order branch or golem in the world. The phone does not allow contact outside of the Order, however.
  
  
• Defense. Each golem has its own little set of teeth and a very protective "personality" over its owner. If one is found to be in danger, the golem will attack the threat with its sharp teeth, giving the owner time to run.
