Unlike the picture Zane almost always has a goofy grin on his face, although due to his personality and interests, he will often use over the top expressions (That one being "honestly, I'm bored now" look). He’s tall and rather skinny, not the usual body of a person who fights for a living, but has the build that’s more likely to belong to an athlete, or at least someone who’s studied martial art, but doesn’t usually put them into practice. He has a pointy chin and a small nose. His hair and eyes share the usual green turquoise colour which is his natural colour, contrary to popular disbelief. Underneath both of his eyes are two small black tattoos. They’re two black strips with a point protruding out of them, pointing downwards towards the bottom of his face. Weirdly enough Zane has unusually sharp Canine teeth, which he constantly denies being anyway sinister.
As a care free exorcist who is a fan of practical jokes, It’s not unusual that his tone of voice portrays this sort of personality. He will often speak in an extravagant manner, to comically express emotions such as happiness and sorrow (it does include more...). He also has his “Pick up voice” which is a lot deeper, calmer and generally more romantic. However this usually comes to no avail (mostly because of his reputation as a joker)
His voice isn’t the only tool that he uses to joke around, his body language is often just as extreme as his way of speaking


CLOTHING
• • As an Exorcist Zane wears a slight variation of the normal uniform. The Jacket goes down to Zane's waist, but it does contain to long tail coats, with a silver trim. The neck and cuffs of the Jacket have Grey fur upon them and he has a bright greeny/Turquoise colored belt across his waist. He also wears and extravagant top hat which has some Exorcist design on it. The rim of which is dropped down to make a slight point. The the top of the hat, instead of having an exorcist Grey colored rim at the bottom, it has a thick turquoise rim at the tip of the Hat. Although probably the most extravagant thing about the top hat is a pair of Grey chains that go around the hat diagonally, so that they cross to make an x shape. To keep them in place when they go around the top of the hat, they cut inside of it.

PERSONALITY:
• • As seen in his description, Zane Valentine is an over the top joker. His outgoing and brash personality and his tendency to say what he thinks, and then realizing what he said is well known to anyone who’s met him. He loves giving people nicknames, often to their distain. He enjoys being eccentric in all aspects, and even though it can be somewhat annoying at times, he friends see it as one of his best qualities. However he sometimes finds it hard to stop his comical act in the face of danger, in other words the Noah family and akuma are not spared from his foolish antics, although it must be said that his eccentricity is changed slightly in the face of the Noah family, so that he is mocking them. While he comes off as a goofy prankster, in actual fact he’s known for his high intelligence and abilities as an exorcist by the higher ups, he just doesn’t like the idea of a big reputation. One of the worst hit by Zane’s antics is any female he considers cute, or beautiful. His eyes will immediately light up and he try to woo them with his “pick up” voice and other ridiculous and embarrassing (for the women, he has no sense of embarrassment) methods. So far his record of picking up dates is three, but two of them were with the same girl. He likes making friends and he is very protective of them, and will go as far as taking the bullet for them, no matter how dangerous to blow. This is linked to a lonely past, which he’s determined not to go back to. His cheerful personality makes it hard for members of the black order who don’t know him too well and take their job too seriously to respect him as an exorcist. Saying that his serious friends will often give the appearance that they don’t respect him due to his outlook. (So “Yu Kanda” charries, will have to watch out for him!)
